The Element Z Reactor is designed to use zeolite as a filter media to remove various pollutants from a reef aquarium while also providing a medium to house beneficial bacteria. This filtration method has been shown to enhance coral coloration in many cases by reducing the aquarium's organic nutrient loads to much lower levels. An important factor in using the Element Z Reactor is to utilize the reactor's washing function 1 to 2 times per day.
