Description

Natural Cork Trunk 70–90 cm – approx. 20 cm diameter is a large, authentic natural décor piece ideal for creating vertical structures, hides, climbing areas and epiphytic planting supports in tropical terrariums, paludariums and naturalistic vivariums.

Its cylindrical shape, deeply textured bark and generous diameter make it suitable as a central structural element. It can be used whole, horizontally, vertically, at an angle or cut to suit the project.

Plants can be attached using thread, fishing line, suitable adhesive or a small amount of sphagnum moss depending on the species.

Bioactive terrarium interest

The natural cracks and irregularities provide numerous microhabitats for springtails, isopods and other beneficial organisms in bioactive enclosures.

The structure also helps create drier and better ventilated zones within humid tropical setups.

Humidity resistance

As with any natural material, its appearance may change over time. In very humid bioactive environments, temporary biofilm or fungal growth may occasionally develop during the initial establishment phase. This is generally natural and often decreases as the enclosure stabilises.
