Entirely arranged by hand, it combines a structured natural décor, suitable substrate, a selection of tropical plants and horticultural LED lighting that enhances foliage while supporting healthy plant growth.

Lighting

The terrarium is supplied with horticultural LED lighting suitable for growing tropical plants. It provides even illumination while keeping energy consumption and heat output low. A daily lighting period of approximately 10 to 12 hours is recommended.

Tropical Plant Selection

Each composition includes a selection of plants chosen for their suitability for humid tropical environments, manageable growth and decorative appeal. Depending on availability, the terrarium may include Bromeliads, Fittonia, Selaginella, creeping Ficus, ferns, small Aroids, mosses and other tropical understory plants.

Natural Décor

The décor is created using selected natural materials depending on availability, such as cork bark, roots, branches, mosses and other plant-based elements. The arrangement is designed to create depth, relief and a genuine tropical forest-floor atmosphere.

Substrate

The terrarium is arranged with a substrate suitable for tropical plants, helping maintain consistent moisture while providing sufficient drainage and good oxygenation of the root system.

Planting

Each terrarium is individually planted and arranged by JungleBox. The different species are positioned according to their size, growth habit and future development in order to create a balanced, natural and long-lasting composition.

Humidity

The plant selection is suitable for a humid tropical atmosphere. Relative humidity generally between 60% and 90% is appropriate for most of the plants used, provided that the terrarium has adequate ventilation.

Temperature

A temperature between 20°C and 28°C is ideal for most tropical plants used in this composition. Avoid prolonged exposure to low temperatures as well as direct exposure to intense heat sources.

Watering

Keep the substrate slightly moist without saturating it. Watering and misting should be adjusted according to temperature, humidity and ventilation levels. Low-mineral or soft water is recommended to reduce mineral deposits on the leaves and glass panels.

Maintenance

Regularly remove old or damaged leaves, prune plants when necessary and maintain good air circulation to preserve a healthy environment. Over time, the vegetation develops and gives the terrarium an increasingly natural and mature appearance.
