Tillandsia cyanea

Tillandsia cyanea is endemic to Ecuador, primarily occurring along the Pacific slopes of the Andes.

It inhabits premontane tropical rainforests at elevations ranging from approximately 300 to 1,200 meters above sea level. The species grows in warm, humid environments with consistent atmospheric moisture.

Habitat characteristics:

• Primary and secondary cloud forests

• Shaded to semi-shaded canopy zones

• Epiphytic growth on tree trunks and branches
