Description

Tillandsia usneoides XL 100–120 cm, commonly known as Spanish moss, is a spectacular epiphytic bromeliad forming long cascades of fine silvery stems. Supplied here in an XL size of approximately 100 to 120 cm, it creates an immediate dense and immersive rainforest effect in large terrariums, paludariums, greenhouses and hanging displays.

Unlike most potted plants, Tillandsia usneoides requires no substrate. It naturally hangs from tree branches and absorbs moisture and part of its nutrients mainly from the air through the numerous trichomes covering its foliage.

Epiphytic cultivation

Tillandsia usneoides is grown without substrate. Simply suspend it from a branch, root, mesh, cork structure or any other support that allows excellent airflow.
